neri’s captain, Paolo Maldini, has received this morning, at the Gazzetta dello Sport headquarters, the “Premio Internazionale Giacinto Facchetti - Il bello del calcio". At the ceremony which was held in the Buzzatti hall, there were Adriano Galliani, Coni president Gianni Petrucci, Federcalcio president Giancarlo Abete, Lega president Antonio Matarrese and Massimo Moratti. These are the declarations of the Rossoneri’s captain:

ON THE AWARD RECEIVED:
"It’s an award which gratifies me a lot, dedicated to an important personality of our football, an Inter and national team legend. Like all great players, Facchetti was an example for everyone who loved football, for what he gave on and off the pitch.”

ON THE INHERITANCE OF THE NUMBER 3 SHIRT
“This is something of which Adriano Galliani discussed personally with me and my wife. With regards to our children, we don’t want to pressure them also because my luck was that, despite having an important name, I did not have any pressure from my father or my mother. If my son will want to be a footballer, he could wear “my” number 3, why not…

“At Milan we have lived many beautiful stories, and therefore this could the seal of the relationship which exists between this club and my family.”

ON HIS CAREER AND HIS PHYSICAL CONDITION
“The injury I suffered two years ago could have closed my career in a brutal way, also because I still didn’t have the contract and I didn’t know how I would have recovered from such a serious injury. Luckily then everything was solved and this year I started the training with the squad unlike the previous years in which I had to undergo surgery at the end of the season. Consequently, I started later than my team-mates and I must say that from the physical condition, I feel much better than in the past.

“Right now my hope is that of updating my curriculum and my total victories. I still have a lot of will to enjoy this season until June, also because I'm living it serenely since the team is very strong.”

ON MILAN’S SEASON AND THE CURRENT SQUAD
“With regards to Milan, the sensation to be there, at the top positions of the standings, even though behind Inter or any other team, is surely nice, because the league has always been our objective and in the past years we had given up quite early. I don’t know how many teams will manage to remain at the top, but I think that Milan must candidate itself for this role of anti-Inter.

“Even the fact that Milan is in this league position, I think that it’s very important. Breathing the air of the high standings is beautiful after two years of abyssal distances. Therefore we are already happy about this. We know very well that the league will not be decided on November 2nd, neither Wednesday and probably not even in December, therefore we shall have to wait until the end. Each team has its own characteristics. This team is rich of talented champions, maybe we're not physical like we were in the recent past, but we have other characteristics. We are playing on this."

ON DAVID BECKHAM
“I don’t know the details of the agreement between Milan and David Bechkam. What I know is that he was and still is an important player, he chose Milan to remain in form. He did the same last year with Arsenal and he didn’t get all this attention back then. Milan has surely accentuated this thing, if then there will be the possibility to play with us, we will all be happy.  The Beckham issue was created as a request made by the player with regards to a training period he needs to do in order to be fine. If then other things will come, I think that for free it could be a good deal.”

ON HIS FUTURE
“I was asked if in my future I was sure if I wouldn’t become a coach and I told them yes, absolutely. I will not be a coach. It could be a choice tied to the club or to my personal life. There’s nothing certain.”

ON GILARDINO’S GOAL DURING PALERMO-FIORENTINA
“I saw the goal, but I didn’t follow the rest. The goal should have been clearly disallowed. These are moments in which each one of us reacts due to the situation, one should find himself in that context.”

馬爾蒂尼今天在接受《米蘭體育報》的採訪時表示，他同法切蒂有著許多相似點……

為了紀念在2006年去世的國米傳奇人物法切蒂，《米蘭體育報》創立了一項名為“法切蒂獎”的獎項。這項獎主要授予那些能夠詮釋足球精神的球員。前維琴察隊球員胡裏奧-岡薩雷斯和伊拉克國家隊隊長尤尼斯成為前兩屆得主。米蘭傳奇球星馬爾蒂尼有幸捧起第三屆獎盃。

獲獎之後的馬爾蒂尼面對《米蘭體育報》的採訪侃侃而談。“我的職業生涯同法切蒂有著許多相似點。因此，這項榮譽對我而言，意味著很多。他是國際米蘭的傳奇人物，而我在AC米蘭度過了全部的足球職業生涯。在國家隊，我們也有著相同的故事。”馬爾蒂尼如是說。

 “我很欣賞法切蒂的鎮靜，”馬爾蒂尼對此顯得非常敬佩，“我依然記得，當年薩基總是拿法切蒂在比賽中的表現（來教導我們）。法切蒂是第一位真正意義上的邊後衛，他是首位成功的演繹了現代足球中進攻性邊後衛角色的球員。”對於法切蒂，馬爾蒂尼給予極高的評價。

採訪的最後，馬爾蒂尼回顧了其光輝的足球職業生涯。“我擁有輝煌的職業生涯，現在我依然能夠記得1978年第一次在裏納特球場參加訓練時的場景；1985年同烏迪內斯的那場比賽同樣讓我難忘；1990年則是很奇怪的一年，義大利隊在世界盃上失意，但是AC米蘭卻贏得了許多獎盃；當然，2003年隨米蘭獲得歐冠聯賽冠軍，也是件讓人稱道的事情。”

頒獎儀式今天在米蘭的巴紮蒂禮堂舉行，米蘭副主席加利亞尼、國米主席莫拉蒂、足協主席阿貝特以及義大利職業聯盟主席馬塔雷斯等足壇政要都出席了這場盛大的頒獎典禮。
