MILAN - Through the cameras of 'Striscia la Notizia', Paolo Maldini announced an important initiative in favor of Abruzzo and the populations hit by the earthquake a month ago. The Milan captain officialised the match's engagement in a special gathering of funds: "Me and my team mates, who have all been very generous, have decided to help the people of Abruzzo with a gathering of funds to make ten wooden buildings, the first within fifteen days. It's a project that will start shortly. I would like, however - the Milan champion added - to extend the invitation to gather funds to all club sides and the whole world of sports. We are all involved in this tragedy."
